Dr. Shams Iqbal is board certified in both, Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology & Internal Medicine. He is also a fellow of The American College of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology. Dr. Iqbal has been published in the annals of Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology and participates in asthma and allergy related clinical research studies.

Dr. Iqbal graduated from the Dow Medical College at Karachi in 1986 with a Bachelor's Degree in Medicine. He went on to attend Louisiana State University where received his Masters in Microbiology and Clinical Immunology in 1991. This was followed by three years of residency in Internal Medicine at the Monmouth Medical Center in Long Beach, New Jersey. Thereafter Dr. Iqbal completed his two-year fellowship in the area of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology at the Montefiore Medical Center in the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York.
Dr. Iqbal is board certified by the Board of Internal Medicine and the Board of Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology. He possesses a state of California medical license and is a resident of Riverside County. Dr. Iqbal has been published in the annals of Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology and is participating in asthma and allergy related clinical research studies.
Dr. Iqbal is an affiliate of Riverside Community Hospital, Corona Regional Medical Center, Rancho Spring Medical Center, and Inland Valley Medical Center . Dr. Iqbal is very active in the community and medical societies. He delivers C.M.E lectures to Internists, Family Physicians and Pediatricians on Allergy and Asthma related topics.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology and a Member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.
He is a member of the Riverside County Medical Association and the California Medical Association.
